NATICK – A cafe in Natick is closing, and it said the cause of the coronavirus pandemic.

The Common Cafe & Kitchen at 9 South Main Street in Natick announced on Facebook just before 6 p.m. it was closing.

“We tried hard but we could not survive the epidemic,” it posted on Facebook.

The cafe made delicious croissants, pretzels, and other bakery items.

The cafe also served “home-style cooked Kababs and Saffron rice.” They also served vegetarian menu items.

“We designed a warm yet modern environment where visitors can gather and dine at a place they consider to be their neighborhood spot in Natick,” stated the website.

It offered jazz and open mic events in the evening, in a coffee-house style atmosphere.

The establishment had been using GrubHub and DoorDash during the pandemic.

“It saddens us greatly to announce the closing of the Common Cafe. We appreciate all of our customers and your support. We’ll truly miss you all,” posted owners Ali & Emad Zadeh.

The website said its hours were Tuesdays through Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.

The cafe & kitchen opened in 2019.
