77.5% of Framingham’s COVID-19 Cases Have Recovered

FRAMINGHAM – Yesterday, the City of Framingham announced its 100th death due to COVID-19 or complications from the virus since the pandemic.

Today, the City report just one new COVID-19 case.

Since the pandemic began on March 11 in the City, there have been 1,698 positive COVID-19 cases.

Despite the slow down, Framingham is one of the top 12 communities in the state with coronavirus cases. Framingham ranks 14th in the state for the population.

The good news is 1,319 individuals have recovered,or more than 77%.

In addition to the active cases, the Framingham Health Department currently is following 136 residents in quarantine.

There are more than 70,000 residents in the City of Framingham.

So roughly, 2.5% of the city tested positive for the virus.
