FRAMINGHAM – The City of Framingham announced its 100th death due to COVID-19 or complications from the virus since the pandemic began today, June 10.

And for the first time since March, the City of Framingham announced no new positive coronavirus cases

Since the pandemic began on March 11 in the City, there have been 1,697 positive COVID-19 cases.

Despite the slow down, Framingham is one of the top 12 communities in the state with coronavirus cases. Framingham ranks 14th in the state for the population.

The good news is 1,265 individuals have recovered.

In addition to the active cases, the Framingham Health Department currently is following 132 residents in quarantine.

There are more than 70,000 residents in the City of Framingham.
