FRAMINGHAM – New positive coronavirus cases have slowed in the City of Framingham.

Four new cases were reported today, June 8. The city did not provide an update on Sunday.

Since the pandemic began on March 11 in the City, there have been 1,694 positive COVID-19 cases.

Despite the slow down, Framingham is one of the top 12 communities in the state with coronavirus cases. Framingham ranks 14th in the state for the population.

The good news is 1,243 individuals have recovered.

The City reported its 97th death today due to COVID-19 or complications from the virus.

In addition to the active cases, the Framingham Health Department currently is following 137 residents in quarantine.

There are more than 70,000 residents in the City of Framingham.
