5 Things You Need To Know Today in Framingham: Monday, June 8, 2020

1 Outdoor dining opens for restaurants today in Phase II, of the state’s re-opening plan after the coronavirus pandemic.

Those Framingham restaurants that already had patios & outdoor dining before the pandemic may open today.

There are guidelines for restaurants however.

Those that did not have outdoor dining in 2019, and are altering their premises to begin or expand outdoor dining in 2020, will need approval from the City of Framingham.

2. CITY of FRAMINGHAM meetings: (all are held remotely unless noted):

• Framingham Housing Authority at 2 p.m.
• Framingham School Committee: Teaching and Learning Subcommittee at 6 p.m.
• Framingham License Commission at 7 p.m.

3. According to the Mayor’s public schedule, Mayor Yvonne Spicer has no public events today.

4. During the phase II re-opening, the city is opening up the lobby of the police station today, will begin curbside pick-up of hold books at the library today, and will re-open the mausoleum at Edgell Grove Cemetery today.

5. Playgrounds, dog parks, community gardens, sprayparks, outdoor spaces all have new guidelines today under the Phase II of the state’s -reopening plan.
