NATICK – Wegmans closed at 7:30 p.m. today, June 1, on threats of “violent activity” at the Natick Mall.

Members of the Natick Police Department informed Wegmans and Nouvelle at Natick that there were postings on social media “about planning suspicious, violent, or destructive activity around the Natick mall around 8 p.m.”

Nouvelle sent out an alert to its residents.

“If you do not need to be outside tonight around this time, please stay inside your units. Our concierge will be posted at their desks during this time and will remain vigilant,’ said the Nouvelle at Natick.

“Mall security will have crews out to secure the mall perimeter and are also working with the Natick Police Department who will have cruisers on site,” wrote Nouvelle to its residents.
