MARLBOROUGH – The City of Marlborough reported 23 new coronavirus positive cases to start the Memorial Day weekend on May 22.

That is 135 new cases in the last week.

The 23 news cases represent a 2.79% increase in COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours.

Marlborough now has a total of 846 positive cases since the pandemic began.

The good news is no new deaths were reported today. The City of Marlborough has had a total of 37 deaths due to COVID-19 or complications from the coronavirus since the pandemic began.

More good news is that 566 individuals have recovered from the virus.

It is unknown how many individuals have been tested in the city of almost 40,000 people.

About 2% of the City’s residents have tested positive for the virus.

Middlesex County has the most positive cases.

Framingham has the most cases in MetroWest. Marlborough is second.

The City of Framingham is also among the top 20 communities with coronavirus cases in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. The entire State of Maine has a little more 1,600 cases of the virus. and the City of Framingham has just over 1,450 cases.
