FRAMINGHAM – Richard Peter Theodore, 77, of Framingham formerly of Newton passed away April 24, 2020 from complications of COVID-19. 

He was the husband of Anne (Clarke) Theodore for 52 years. 

A resident of Newton for 45 years, he moved to Framingham in 2016. 

Mr. Theodore worked for the Federal Government for 30 years and was a partner in T&F Construction. 

He owned Sergeants Restaurant in Norwell, MA and was an amateur boxer and Golden Glove winner. 

He liked spending time with family and friends, puzzles, eating a good meal, teaching the kids to cook, watching the Celtics and boxing, and hosting pizza parties.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by four children, Dorothea A Guertin of North Uxbridge, MA, Karen A Shea of Framingham, MA, Elaine C Kelley of Ashland, and Stephen E Theodore of Watertown, MA, seven grandchildren, Joshua, Kaitlyn, Sarah, Jillian, Owen, Ethan, Abigail, and three sisters, Carolyn Federico of Quincy, MA, Gloria Welch of Fort Mills, SC, and Janet Austin of Weymouth, MA.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
