FRAMINGHAM – This weekend is the unofficial kick-off to summer.

And typically by Memorial Day, the City of Framingham has announced its summer concert series lineup.

But this year is different with the coronavirus pandemic.

The concert schedule has not been announced, and it is very likely there will be no Friday night concerts on the Framingham Centre Common.

The concerts could be cancelled, could be held virtually, or still could take place.

“Currently, we are in a holding pattern as we discuss our options and review the guidance that was released yesterday from the Governor/EEA. We are as anxious as you are and hope to have a decision in the near future,” said the City’s parks & Recreation Department.
