ASHLAND – Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker & Senate President Karen Spilka toured MatTek Life Sciences in Ashland today, May 12.

The two state leaders visited the Homer Avenue company, which has pivoted during the pandemic to produce hand sanitizer and the manufacture of cell culture media to the production of viral transport media for coronavirus testing.

Founded in 1985, MatTek began producing human tissue models as reliable replacements for animal testing.
