FRAMINGHAM – There are several utility, City of Framingham, and state road construction projects scheduled for this week – May 10, 2020.

The City said “all projects will be conducted in conformance with the health and safety protocols set forth by the Commonwealth and the City of Framingham. As the situation with COVID-19 is ever-changing, construction schedules are subject to change.”

Work is weather permitting.

Beacon Street/Summer Street Intersection Improvements: Intersection improvements on Beacon Street at Summer Street continue. Expect moderate delays.

Beaver Street Bridge
: Bridge work continues. The bridge will be closed to through traffic and pedestrians until Fall 2020. A detour will be in effect at all times.

Cedar Street (from Waverly Street to Winthrop Street) Gas Main: Eversource Gas will begin relaying gas main on Cedar Street from Waverly Street to Winthrop Street. A one-way alternating traffic pattern will be in effect. Expect delays at times.

Salem End Road (from Stalker Lane to the Ashland town line) – Eversource Gas: Gas main installation continues on Salem End Road from Stalker Lane to the Ashland town line. A one-way alternating traffic pattern will be in effect. Expect delays at times.

Union Avenue and Pearl Street Utilities:
Drainage structures will be installed on Pearl Street (between Union Avenue and Lincoln Street).
Pearl Street (between Union Avenue and Lincoln Street) will be closed to through traffic. A detour will be in effect during working hours, 7 a.m. and 4 p.m.Please seek an alternate route. Expect moderate delays at times.

Waverly Street/Blandin Avenue Sidewalk Improvements: Sidewalk construction continues on Waverly Street at Modera and Blandin Avenue at Modera. Pedestrians will be routed around the work zone. Expect minor delays.

Worcester Road Water and Sewer Improvements: Water and sewer main installation continues from 150 Worcester Road/Route 9 East to the Natick town line. One to two lanes will be closed on Worcester Road/Rt.9 East. Expect delays. Please note this project will temporarily be conducted between the hours of 7 a.m. and 11 p.m., Monday – Thursday and 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday.
