MARLBOROUGH – The City of Marlborough reported 2 new deaths due to COVID-19 in the last 24 hours.

This bring the total number deaths due to the virus or complications from the virus to 20 in Marlborough.

The City also reported 33 new cases of the coronavirus in the last 24 hours.

That is a 5.68% increase in COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours

The City of Marlborough is now reporting a total of 614 coronavirus cases as of Thursday, May 7.

The good news is that 313 individuals have recovered from the virus.

It is unknown how many individuals have been tested in the city of almost 40,000 people.

The Commonwealth of Massachusetts reported 132 deaths COVID-19 today, May 7. That brings the total number of fatalities due to the coronavirus since the pandemic in Massachusetts to 4,552.

The state reported 1,696 new cases in the last 24 hours. That brings the total number of positive cases in Massachusetts to 73,721.

The State of Massachusetts has more positive COVID-19 cases than the entire country of Canada, which has 65,795 total cases.

The state tested almost 12,000 individuals in the last 24 hours

As of May 7 at 4 p.m., the state has tested 351,632 individuals.

Middlesex County has the most positive cases at 16,676. In comparison, Barnstable County on Cape Cod has 1,021 cases.

Framingham has the most cases in MetroWest at almost 1,200.
