FRAMINGHAM – A Framingham man threatened to kill a police officer after he was arrest on Friday afternoon, May 1.

At 3:19 p.m. police pulled over a vehicle on Irving Street driven by Cleider Riberio, 47, of 3 Merchant Road in Framingham.

Police pulled over the vehicle as the engine was smoking, and it appeared to have a flat tire.

Riberio was upset yelling not to arrest his friend, to police after pulled over.

Riberio was told to stay in the vehicle and began to reach under the seat. Officers repeatedly told him to stop reaching, explained Lt. Patricia Grigas.

Riberio was removed from the car. He continued to resist arrest, explained Lt. Grigas.

“While in custody and on the way to the station, he yelled at the officer I know where you live and I am going to kill yo,’ said Lt. Grigas.

Riberio was charged with threatening to commit a crime (murder), resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.

The Merchant Road resident was cited for driving a vehicle having defective equipment and a stop sign violation.
