FRAMINGHAM – Mayor Yvonne Spicer has nominates District 4 resident Suzanne Brown to the 7-member Loring Arena Advisory Committee.

The Loring Arena Advisory Committee is comprised of members of the skating community representing the various user groups in Framingham including youth through adult hockey, figure skating, hockey operations, and municipal government.

Chair of the Committee is District 8 resident Joseph Tersoni, whose term ends in June 2022. Vice chair is District 3 resident Joan Rastani, whose term ends on June 30, 2020.

A lifelong Framingham resident, Brown has been actively involved with the Loring Arena in different capacities. She served as the vice president of the
Loring Arena Legacy Foundation, that helped to initiate the arena’s recent renovations.

If approved by the City Council, Brown would serve through June 30, 2023. The City Council has 30 days to act on the April 16 nomination.

The term of committee member Eric Higgins, a resident of District 4, ends on June 30, 2020.

Committee member Robert Ryan, of District 6 is serving through June 2021, while committee member Mark Gallagher of District 6 and Robert Lewis of District 9 have terms that expire in June 2022
