FRAMINGHAM – Keefe Technical Has School in Framingham has cancelled school vacation week in April, announced Principal Shannon Snow today, April 7.

“It has been decided, with support from teachers and with a vote from the School Committee last night, that school will be in session April 21-24,’ said Snow in a message to families.

This means online and remote learning will take place that week. The physical school is closed.

“This decision was based on a number of factors. We hope there has been some momentum created through the new e-learning plan and grading scenario and we would like to continue that work,’ said Snow.

“Additionally, both state and federal officials have stated that the next few weeks are critical in flattening the curve, and we would like to do our part and keep students engaged in school as best we can so they may be less inclined to get together socially with friends,” said the Principal.

The last day of school for Keefe Tech students will be June 16.

There will be no school this Friday, April 10th in observance of Good Friday and on Monday, April 20th for Patriots Day.

Governor Charlie Baker said the earliest public school students could return to their physical classrooms is May 4.
