FRAMINGHAM – The Fire threat level today, April 7 is very high.
Temperatures are expected to reach 60 degrees and wind gusts are forecasted at 25 miles per hour.
When the fire danger is “very high”, fires will start easily from most causes, said the national forestry service.
The fires will spread rapidly and have a quick increase in intensity, right after ignition.
Small fires can quickly become large fires and exhibit extreme fire intensity, such as long-distance spotting and fire whirls, said the national forestry service.
