City of Framingham Launches Coronavirus Text Messaging System

FRAMINGHAM – The City of Framingham is launching a new text message system for COVID-19 news.

Text “Join FraminghamMA” to 30890 for important updates about COVID-19 and the City.

People can also sign up for the text alerts on the Website and select which language in which they’d prefer text messages to be delivered, said the City in an announcement.

“The City will be using this tool to send short messages and/or links directly to a resident’s mobile phone or device. Standard messaging and data rates may apply,” said the City in a press release.

Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker announced a new coronavirus alert system last month that lets residents get updates from state officials sent directly to their cell phones.
