Governor Baker Orders Flags At Half-Staff For Holyoke Veterans

BOSTON – Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker has ordered that the United States of America flag and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts flag be lowered to half-staff immediately until sunset on Sunday, April 5, 2020 at all state buildings and facilities, and hereby authorizes the same at all municipal and town properties and private institutions, as a mark of solemn respect and in honor of the United States armed forces military veterans and residents of the Massachusetts Soldiers’ Home – Holyoke, who died this past week in Holyoke, Massachusetts.   

This gubernatorial order applies to:  main or administration building of each public institution of the Commonwealth, e.g. town and city halls, all other state-owned or state-controlled buildings, and all state military installations.
