FRAMINGHAM – The MetroWest Worker Center has set a $10,000 fundraising goal to raise fund to feed immigrants during the coronavirus pandemic.

“Most of our immigrant neighbors are out of work and will be unable to apply for unemployment. We are providing food and financial assistance to them,’ said the MetroWest Worker Center.

The Metrowest Worker Center is an immigrant worker-led organization based in Framingham, which organizes to defend and expand the labor, civil, and human rights of all workers.

On March 28, The center provided groceries to 88 families in Framingham and 54 in Milford, with another 22 waiting after we ran out of supplies.

On March 21, the center provided groceries to 45 families in Framingham.

“We are buying in bulk and accepting donations. We plan on continuing to do this and are working on ways we can give income supplementation, too,” said the Center.
