FRAMINGHAM – The City of Framingham announced the first fatality from COVID-19 today, Match 26, in the city.

The City of Framingham said the individual was a man, in his 80s, who had underlying respiratory conditions.

The City of Framingham also announced 15 more individuals have tested posted for the coronavirus, bringing the total number of cases in the City to 36.

Eight individuals have recovered, according to the City of Framingham.

“HIPAA privacy laws prohibit the City from disclosing any additional information about those who have tested positive,” said the City.

The Health Department is in contact with the people who, and businesses that were potentially exposed to the positive cases to inform and counsel them on next steps,” said the City in a press release..
