FRAMINGHAM – The City of Framingham has received an additional $100,000 coronavirus relief grant from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
That is two $100,000 grants in as many days.
The grants are part of the Baker-Polito administration $5 million fund announced for local health boards on March 17.
The grants were available to the 14 largest cities in the Commonwealth, and the City of Framingham is the 14th largest.
The Framingham Health Department will use the funding for wraparound support services for Framingham residents who are under isolation and quarantine, temporary housing needs for first responders/healthcare workers, public health staffing to respond to COVID-19, and other associated costs (laptops, cell phones, etc.), said the City of Framingham in a press release.
