NATICK – Natick Police Department is restricting some services, during the coronavirus crisis, but not emergency services.

NATICK POLICE OFFICERS WILL CONTINUE TO RESPOND TO EMERGENCY CALLS FOR SERVICE WITHOUT DELAY. IF YOU HAVE AN EMERGENCY, DIAL 911 AND WE WILL RESPOND IMMEDIATELY.

In an effort to reduce the spread of the COVID-19 illness, the Natick Police Department will be taking the following steps immediately:

Until further notice, Natick Police will

  • not be taking new license to carry (LTC) applications. Renewals will also be suspended unless the LTC is about to expire. Detective Arena (arena@natickpolice.com) will review these requests via email.
  • not be able to accommodate requests for finger printing for the public.
  • not be inspecting or installing car seats.

Citizens calling for police services will be screened by our dispatch staff and Shift Commanders to determine if an immediate police response is needed.

We will take reports for past events (identity theft, credit card fraud, vandalism, etc.) via the telephone if applicable.

Those who walk in to the station lobby will also be screened to determine if a phone report is appropriate.

We encourage citizens to call the department via telephone ahead of time before travelling to the station to make a report. In many cases, a police officer can and will take care of your needs by phone.

We also offer on-line reporting. Please go to natickpolice.com and click on “Online Reporting”. You will find instructions and links to assist you.

We are making these temporary adjustments in order to keep both our community and ourselves as safe and healthy as we can during these uncertain times.
