FRAMINGHAM – I hope this message finds everyone well. We had a productive day in the school district today, working virtually to plan for the needs of our district over the next few weeks. I have provided a brief summary below:

Teaching & Learning

We are working with our teams of teachers and administrators to find ways for all of our students, PreK-12, to stay engaged with their learning during this time out of school. Our schools will be reaching out to families over the course of the week.

We are interested in knowing about your family’s access to the internet and the availability of devices, like a computer or chromebook, and will be collecting this information when we reach out to you.

We have compiled some great instructional resources for families and it is important that we identify how to best share that information with you.

Food Security
The City of Framingham and the Framingham Public Schools in partnership with the Department of Public Health has joined together with a number of community partners to ensure food access during this challenging time.

The collective is made up of food providers and representatives of organizations that serve critical populations in Framingham who have been impacted by the closures due to COVID-19.

Additional communication will be coming out this week with updates for families on where to access food resources.

The Foundation for MetroWest has set up a donation page where individuals can donate money to organizations working to meet emergency food needs in Framingham.

Please check out https://foundationmw.org/give/donate-now/ to donate. For individuals looking to volunteer or offer support please check out https://www.weallvolunteer.org to sign up.

Stay up to date by visiting www.framingham.k12.ma.us for updates.

We will continue to stay in contact with you – either from the district, school, or teacher level – so that our physical absence from school does not become a feeling of disconnectedness. Thank you for your continued partnership with us as our teachers, administrators, and families unite during these challenging times.
