MARLBOROUGH – Samuel Cruz Morais, 27, of Marlborough died Thursday March 5, 2020 after a 3-year battle with cancer.

He was born in Worcester, the son of Reginaldo De Morais and Olnezedia Da Cruz. 

Samuel was a 2012 graduate of Marlborough High School and attended Mass Bay Community College prior to his illness.

He was a member of Connect Church in Ashland who loved being a part of the tech and video production team with the church, going out spending quality time with the youth group of The508, watching Marvel movies and Impractical Jokers, and learning all about flavorful foods on the Food Network. 

In addition to his parents, he leaves his sister  Samantha Morais of Marlborough; maternal grandmother Salvena Custodai and paternal grandmother Benedita Morais. two aunts, Cirleia Liberato and Regina Stoneones; an uncle Helio De Morais; ten cousins, Deborah, Marcella, Elya, Brittany, Brendon, Matheus, Andrew, Karoline, Carol and Levea; his best friends, Lucas Belo of Marlborough and Pastor Devon Frye of Milford. 

A funeral service will be held Monday March 9, at 10 a.m. in the Connect Church, 280 Pleasant Street, Ashland.

Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Wilson Street, Marlborough.

Calling hours will be held Sunday March 8 from 5-8 p.m. in the Collins Funeral Home(www.CollinsFuneral.com), 378 Lincoln Street, Marlborough.
