Framingham Flyers lost in the Super 8 hockey tournament last night to the #2-seeded Boston College High School Eagles. The loss ended the Flyers season. Click here for a slideshow and a game summary.

2.  Today, 250 years ago, the enslaved person Crispus Attucks of Framingham was the first to die in the Boston Massacre.

3. CITY of FRAMINGHAM meetings:

  • Team Framingham has a meeting tonight at 7 at the Memorial Building.
  • Framingham Planning Board meets tonight at 7 in the Ablondi room in the Memorial Building.
  • Community Preservation Act Study Group meet tonight at 7 at the Memorial Building
  • Framingham School Committee has a meeting at 7 in the Blumer room in the Memorial Building.

 4. According to Mayor’s public schedule, Mayor Yvonne Spicer will participate in the Read Across America Day event at McCarthy Elementary School.

Later she will participate in a women’s month event at Walnut Hill School in Natick from noon to 2 p.m.

5.  Today is an early release for Framingham Public School students, so the Framingham Public Library has scheduled some fun.
