1 Today is National Read Across America day.

Read Across America Day, also known as Dr. Seuss Day, is a yearly observance inaugurated by the National Education Association. It is held on the school day that is nearest to 2 March, Dr. Seuss birthday. Theodor Seuss Geisel was an American artist, book publisher, animator, poet, a political cartoonist as well as an author. He is best known for authoring more than 60 children’s books.”

3. CITY of FRAMINGHAM meetings:

  • Framingham City Council Environment & Sustainability Subcommittee meets tonight at 7 in the Blumer room in the Memorial Building.
  • Framingham Library Trustees – Buildings & Grounds Subcommittee  meets at 7 p.m. at the main Framingham Public Library
  • Keefe Technical’s School Committee meets at 7 p.m. at the school.

 4. According to Mayor’s public schedule, Mayor Yvonne Spicer will meet individually with City Councilors today from 4 to 5 p.m.

5.  The Seed Lending Library is re-opening at both Framingham Public Libraries on March 14. The Seed Lending Library will have plenty of seeds for you to take so you can start your garden indoors.
There is a seed-packaging party in preparation for the re-opening and we are looking for volunteers. Volunteers can help today at the main Framingham Public Libary from 1 to 3 p.m.
