FRAMINGHAM – A Framingham Police officer, who was working a detail, was struck by a car on Tuesday afternoon.

The name of the officer has not been released.

The officer was struck around 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, February 18 on Old Connecticut Path, according to police.

He was struck by an elderly driver, said Framingham Police Lt. Patricia Grigas.

He was taken to MetroWest Medical Center by a police officer.

Details on his injuries are not known at this time.

Framingham Police are investigating.
