BURLINGTON – Framingham High boys ice hockey team defeated the Lions of Chelmsford High at the Ice Palace in Burlington Monday night in the opening round of the Cahoon Cup.

Framingham won 2-1.

The Flyers will play host Burlington High on Wednesday, February 19 at the Ice palace. Puck drops at 7 p.m.

It was 0-0 after the first period.

Hunter Balducci scored with about 9 minutes left in the middle period to put the Flyers on the scoreboard.

Framingham senior captain Will Trischitta scored the game-winning goal, with about 5 minutes left in the game to give the Flyers a 2-0 lead.

Framingham is now 15-5-1 under head coach Will Ortiz.
