NATICK – Framingham High girls basketball team lost to Natick High on the road Friday night.
The Redhawks won 67-49.
Brenna McDonald led Natick with 15 points and 13 rebounds
Flyers are now 3-5 this season.
“We fought hard for three of the quarters but unfortunately had a challenging second quarter where we only scored 4 to their 21 points,” said head coach Kristen Fucarile.
We ‘came out strong in the first quarter,” she said. Natick led 15-11.
“Freshmen Selina Monestime who had 17 points 8 rebounds and 6 steals,” said Fucarile.
“Our next high scorer was freshmen Katie Regan who had 16 points and 5 rebounds,” she said.
“Although, if hustle was a stat I would also like to mention our third freshmen Sophie Perlman. Sophie was all over the place on defense and demonstrated a lot of poise and confidence late in the game for us,” said the head coach.
“This group is a special cohort and even though the end result was not a W, these girls are fired up and worked hard in practice today to prepare for the next,” said Fucarile.
Framingham will play Newton North on Sunday at 1:30 p.m.
