FRAMINGHAM – It is late December and anyone who has driven down Route 9, the Mass Pike or 495 knows we have a problem!
Potholes! They are everywhere already.
Imagine what it’s going to look like in February?
How can this be?
Massachusetts taxes and pays more per mile for roads than any state in the nation.
Now we are being asked, more accurately told, to pay for a second tax to reduce auto emissions! “The Transportation Climate Initiative.”
The Environment Protection Agency (EPA) already regulates this issue. They set the rules for automakers. It’s their job to protect the environment. It should not be a state or regional issue.
Something stinks here.
Unfortunately, it’s not the smell of asphalt filling all those potholes.
