FRAMINGHAM – Framingham high junior Sophie Albright set a Framingham High School indoor track record in winning the high jump in the season opener of the track season at the Reggie Lewis Center in Boston.

Albright’s leap of 5-feet, 2-inches won her first place in the meet against the Tigers of Newton North, but also gave her the indoor high school record.

She holds the outdoor girls’ record in the high jump. She set that record as a sophomore last season at 5-feet, 8 inches.

“Sophie will be one of the favorites moving forwards in competing for the state title in what should be a fun season,” said coach Chris Collins.
