VIDEO: Ayer Family Takes in Framingham Boy, 14, After Mom Dies

FRAMINGHAM – A teacher at the Concord Area Special Education Collaborative, and her Ayer, family took in a 14-year-old Framingham boy, who has Down syndrome, after his single mom, Jean Manning died of breast cancer.

Four years ago, teacher Kerry Bremer met Jake Manning, 14, and his mom Jean. She offered to make Jake a part of their family, if Jean lost her battle with cancer.

Last month, Jean died on November 13, 2019. Bremer made good on her promise and Jake is now a part of their family.

Today, Good Morning America highlighted the Ayer family and Disney Adventures gave the family a free trip to Wyoming.
