FRAMINGHAM – The Fresenius Kidney Care center in Framingham was evacuated yesterday, December 11.
Framingham Fire responded to 110 Mt. Wayte Avenue at the kidney dialysis center for a report of a building fire, just after 4 p.m.
There were no flames, but we found smokey conditions in the building, said Framingham Assistant Fire Chief Michael Dutcher.
The building, with several critical patients, was evacuated, said Chief Dutcher.
Firefighters found the cause of the smoke in the building to be an overheated HVAC unit on the roof.
There were no injuries, said the chief.
