Flyers Girls Track Opens Season Against Tigers Thursday

FRAMINGHAM – The Framingham High girls indoor track team will open its season Thursday, Dec.. 12 against the Tigers of Newton North at the Reggie Lewis Center in Boston.

Leading the Flyers will be senior captains Paige Fisher and Tess Robinson. There are 10 seniors on the girls track team.

The Flyers will be looking to secure a win this indoor season, as they went 0-4 last season, under head coach Ed Crowley.

One step already in the right direction is the addition of Sophie Albright, an outdoor field star who has decided to compete on the indoor team.

Albright is the Framingham High School record holder in outdoor track in the high jump.

“She will be a front-running contender for the State Title in the high jump and is already getting a lot of notice from Division 1 colleges,” said Coach Chris Collins.

Fisher is a 12-season athlete.

Robinson is also a “12-season athlete and has already begun her coaching career having helped this past spring with the development of the City’s new middle school programs.”
