NATICK – The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) announced a section of Route 9, from Speen Street to Route 27, in Natick will be closed overnight from 10 p.m. on Thursday, December 12, through 5 a.m. on Friday, December 13.
The temporary closure is needed to support the demolition of a railroad bridge over Route 9 for the Framingham-Natick Cochituate Rail Trail project.
The following detours will be in place:
- Westbound traffic on Route. 9 will be directed to turn right onto N. Main Street (Route 27) and then travel westerly on Commonwealth Ave. ( Route. 30) to Speen Street in order to access Route 9 westbound.
- Eastbound traffic will be detoured at Speen Street and directed to head easterly on W. Central Street (Route 135) back to N. Main Street (Route 27) back to Route 9 eastbound.
