“We know the winters in New England are cold, especially for some of the families of students at the Woodrow Wilson School who have come from warmer climates,” said Archie Gleason, General Manager, Exelon Generation, Northeast Region. “As good neighbors, we’re pleased to help these students stay warm and comfortable as winter weather arrives.”
New this year, Jewish Family Service of Metrowest will be assisting with the distribution of coats to students beginning at 6 p.m. tonight, December 9.
The distribution will happen at Wilson’s first Academic Support Night for students and families which intentionally overlaps with their monthly PTO meeting.
Families will be receiving a free meal from Daniel’s Table, homework support, and literacy and math take-home activities. The event is sponsored by JFS of Metrowest.
“We are beyond grateful to have the support of Exelon Generation to our families through their winter coat donations, Daniel’s Table for meal support, and Jewish Family Service of Metrowest for their continued presence and assistance in improving family and community engagement,” said Wilson Principal, Purnima DeMorais. “This act of giving for our students and families, as well as, the opportunity for community gathering is a wonderful gesture during this holiday and winter season. We are truly thankful!”
Framingham Public Schools and the Woodrow Wilson community are grateful for this opportunity and community partnership.
