UPDATED: 5 Things You Need To Know Today in Framingham: Wednesday, December 4

1 Framingham students head back to classes today after a longer than usual Thanksgiving break. The normal 4-day break was extended by two snow days.

Today begins tryouts for winter sports teams at Framingham High School.

2. Framingham Public Schools will host a forum on bus transportation system tonight at 6 at Fuller Middle School.

3.  Tonight MassDOT will hold a meeting in Framingham on its Mass Pike project. Click here for details.

4.  City of Framingham meetings:

  • Framingham Conservation Commission has a meeting at 7 p.m. at City Hall.

5. According to the Mayor’s public schedule,  Mayor Yvonne Spicer will be at the Massachusetts State House today for a community compactor event with the Governor from 4 to 5 p.m.

Yesterday, the mayor attended and spoke at the City Council meeting, even though it was not on her schedule. She was advocating for the City Council to approve her nominee for the economic development & planning director.
