UPDATED: 5 Things You Need To Know Today in Framingham: Tuesday, December 3

1 Framingham is bracing for its second consecutive snowstorm in as many days.

Superintendent of Schools Bob Tremblay called his second consecutive snow day. Students have been out of school since Wednesday afternoon, due to the Thanksgiving break and the back-to-back storms.

Keefe Technical, Christa McAuliffe Charter, and Saint Bridget schools are also closed.

Framingham State students have a delayed start.

With a second snow day, tryouts for Framingham high winter sports teams are delayed again.

2. The City of Framingham has a delayed opening today. The storm could bring between 4 and 8 inches of snow to Framingham. The heaviest snowfall is expected between 4 a.m. and 10 a.m.

3.  Friends of the Callahan Center have a board meeting today at the Center at 2 p.m.

4.  City of Framingham meetings:

  • Framingham City Council meeting at 7:15 p.m. at the Blumer room in the Memorial Building.
  • Framingham Conservation Commission is scheduled to meet tonight at 7 in the Ablondi room in the Memorial Building
  • Framingham Historic District Commission is scheduled to meet at 7:30 p.m. at City Hall.

5. According to the Mayor’s public schedule,  Mayor Yvonne Spicer is scheduled to participate in a round table with Congresswoman Katherine Clark this morning at 8:30 a.m. at the Omni Parker House in Boston.
