NORTON – The National Weather Service in Boston/Norton has Framingham and most of MetroWest with about 8-9 inches of snow as of noon on Monday, but another round of snow is coming tonight into Tuesday.
With storm #2 of the season on its way, the National Weather Services has extended its winter storm warning until noon on Tuesday, December 3.
The National Weather Service says heavy snow, with an additional accumulation of 4 to 10 inches is possible in MetroWest, including Framingham.
There are several models of snow the National Weather Service is using. One calls for about 3-6 inches for MetroWest, but another model calls for about a foot of snow.
Heaviest snow is expected from 4 to 10 a.m.
“Some uncertainty on storm track. If storm tracks farther offshore lower values will be realized, higher values if it tracks closer,” said the National Weather Service part of NOAA.
The hazardous conditions could impact the morning commute.
If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency.
