The following is a press release submitted to SOURCE today, Dec. 2.
FRAMINGHAM – The Framingham League of Women Voters, Voices Against Violence, Framingham State University and MetroWest Daily News are hosting a panel discussion on Thursday, December 5 from 6:30 to 8;30 p.m. featuring experts in the Framingham area exploring the warning signs of domestic violence, action steps to prevent it, and how to help a loved one who may be experiencing violence or causing harm.
Following the panel discussion will be a candlelight vigil led by Mayor Spicer in remembrance of Jamia Maddrey, a Framingham resident whose life tragically ended in October of 2019.
This event is open to all community members, and will be held in the Heineman Ecumenical Center at Framingham State University.
Please join us in supporting the family of a victim of domestic violence who lived right here in our own community. You will also walk away from this event with actionable tools you can use if someone you know is experiencing domestic violence.
This event is free but we ask that you register using the Facebook link below. Space is limited.
