UPDATED: 5 Things You Need To Know Today in Framingham: Monday, December 2

1 It’s the first snow day of the season for Framingham Public, Keefe Technical, Christa McAuliffe Charter and Saint Bridget School.

Framingham State students have a delayed start.

2. Today was to be the start of tryouts for winter sports at Framingham High. Tryouts have been moved to Tuesday, December 3.

3.  City of Framingham trash and recyclable pickup is on schedule today, despite the snow.

This week is scheduled for brush pickup curbside as well. Last night, Framingham Highway and sanitation Director Danny Nau said brush pickup will still take place but may be delayed.

4.  City of Framingham meetings:

  • UPDATED – This meeting has been cancelled for tonight — Framingham Strategic Initiative & Financial Oversight Committee meets tonight at 7 at the Framingham Public Library’s trustees’ room at 49 Lexington Street.
  • Framingham Board of License Commission meeting at 7 p.m. at the Ablondi room in the Memorial Building
  • Framingham Cable Advisory Committee is scheduled to meet tonight at 7 in City Hall.

5. According to the Mayor’s public schedule,  she will meet with individual city councilors today from 5 to 6 p.m.

Although not on the Mayor’s public schedule she attended the meet of Nobscot Neighbors with City Councilors on Sunday, and Mayor Yvonne Spice attended the vigil by Framingham FORCE Sunday evening.
