GoFundMe Seeks To Raise $14,500 for Family of Framingham Father Killed

WORCESTER – A Framingham man was killed while trying to cross a Worcester Street just after midnight, the day before Thanksgiving.

Worcester Police identified the man as Devalter Marins Rocha, 54, of Framingham.

This weekend, his son Bruno Rocha created a GoFundMe to help with funeral arrangements. The goal is to raise $14,500. More than $5,000 has already been raised by more than 100 donors.

“My name is Bruno Rocha, come here to ask for help from the community because I just lost my father, (Devalter Marins Rocha), he died the night of the day (November 27, 2019) was the victim of a hit and then passed away,” wrote Bruno on the GoFundMe page.

“My brothers and my mother wish I could be getting him in Brazil. And I wanted to count on everyone’s help so your children, your wife and your grandchildren might be saying goodbye. If anyone needs some document as authenticity just call me, I will gladly. I thank you in advance, and may God bless anyone who can help me, either financially or with a prayer,” wrote Bruno.
