Framingham Man Killed in Worcester Crossing A Street

WORCESTER – Police said a Framingham man was killed while crossing a Worcester Road early Wednesday morning, November 27.

Worcester police responded to Chandler and May streets for a report of a pedestrian struck just after midnight.

Devalter Marini Rocha, 54, of Framingham, was found unresponsive and was pronounced dead at the hospital.

The driver of the vehicle who struck Rocha was transported to the hospital, as well. His name has not been released.

According to Police, the driver of a Toyota Camry was driving north on Chandler Street and struck a couple of parked vehicles, before striking Rocha, who was crossing Chandler Street.

The Toyota eventually stopped on the front lawn of Worcester State University, according to Police.

Police are investigating, but no arrest as been made.
