FRAMINGHAM – Gasoline prices in Massachusetts remain the same this week, according to AAA Northeast, which has an office in Framingham off Route 9.
AAA Northeast’s November 25 survey of prices in Massachusetts finds self-serve, regular unleaded averaging $2.49 per gallon.
Massachusetts’s price is 10 cents below the national average of $2.59.
A year ago at this time, the average price in Massachusetts was 20 cents higher at $2.69 per gallon.
“Thanksgiving travelers will benefit from flat prices this week for regular unleaded gasoline – the price is unchanged from last week, and roughly 20 cents lower than at this time last year here in Massachusetts,” said Mary Maguire, Director, Public and Legislative Affairs, in a press release. “Consider filling your tank today for your holiday journey, as increased demand from travelers later this week could boost prices at the pump.”
The range in prices in the latest AAA survey for unleaded regular is 79 cents, from a low of $2.26 to a high of $3.05.
AAA Northeast is a not-for-profit auto club with 64 offices in Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Jersey, New Hampshire and New York, providing more than 5.7 million local AAA members with travel, insurance, finance, and auto-related services.
