Faith Community Church Seeks To Provide 1,000 New Sneakers to Framingham Students

FRAMINGHAM – Faith Community Church, a multi-site church with campuses in Framingham and Hopkinton is partnering with Framingham Public Schools to provide 1,000 pairs of new sneakers to children of elementary age.

Kids take over 13,000 steps a day. In one year, that’s more than 1,500 miles.

After all that walking, shoes can be worn out and need replacing. The school district has identified a need for sneakers in preschool size 11 to youth size 7.

The church is inviting its congregation and the community to contribute, on November 24 to bring sneakers to Walsh Middle School for celebration services.

Sneakers will be collected before, in between and after the services on November 24. Services are at 9 and 10:30 a.m. at the school located at 301 Brook Street.

If individuals cannot make it on Nov 24, they can bring sneakers to the Hopkinton Campus (146 E Main Street, Hopkinton) anytime up to December 8.
