Agnes E. Allard, 93, Retired Nurse

FRAMINGHAM – Agnes E. Allard, 93, of Framingham formerly of Chicopee, died Monday November 18, 2019 after a brief illness.  

Born in Springfield, she was the daughter of the late Thomas & Nora (Buckley) Mahoney, and the beloved wife of Paul R. Allard who died in 1978.

Agnes spent the majority of her life in Chicopee, where she was a graduate of Elms College, and the Mercy Hospital School of Nursing Class of 1946.

She held several different positions in nursing over the years from working in the infirmary at Uniroyal where she met her future husband Paul, to Mercy Hospital, Doctor’s Offices, and eventually retiring from Monarch Insurance as a case manager.

Agnes was very proud of her nursing career, but more than anything loved time with her family, particularly her daughters, grandchildren, and her five sisters.

She is survived by her children, Alice Kindorf of Framingham, and Theresa Dagesse & her husband Marc. of Newton, her grandchildren, Brian, Jeffrey, Janice, Kevin, Nicole, and Alan, her 8 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Besides her dear husband Paul, Agnes was predeceased by her son-in-law Joseph Kindorf, and her sisters, Anna, Helen, Julie, Arlene, and Theresa.

Family and friends will honor and remember Agnes’ life by gathering for a time of visitation in the McCarthy, McKinney & Lawler Funeral Home, 11 Lincoln St. Framingham on Friday November 22d from 8:30 – 9:30 A.M.

Her Funeral Mass will follow in St. George Church, 74 School Street in Saxonville, at 10 o’clock.

Interment will be private.
