Rose (Scudere) Brunstrom, 89, Mother and Medical Records Clerk

Rose (Scudere) Brunstrom, 89, died peacefully at home in Framingham on Saturday, November 16, 2019 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease.

Born in Steubenville, Ohio on December 26, 1929, she was the daughter of Rose (Griffo) Scudere.

Rose moved to Quincy, in her adult life and worked for many years as a medical records clerk at Quincy Hospital.

A single mother, she was very independent. She was a favorite “mom” of her daughter’s friends, often being called the “cool” mom. She loved children and animals, both which always brought a smile to her face.

Rose is survived by her daughter, Tammy Richardson and her husband Peter of Framingham, as well as nieces Phyllis, Nancy, and Carol Sue, and nephew Michael.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers, Joseph and Anthony Scudere, and her sisters, Carmie Scudere and Mary Phelps.


Family and friends will honor and remember Rose’s life privately.
