SLIDESHOW: Framingham State To Face 11 Time National Champion Messiah in NCAA Tournament

FRAMINGHAM – The Framingham State University men’s soccer team received an automatic bid to the NCAA Division III tournament today, as the winner of the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASAC).

Framingham State defeated the Vikings of Salem State 1-0 Saturday at Framingham State to win the title.

This was the Rams’ first Conference title since 2011.

Framingham State has a record of 12-8-2. This is their fourth time in the NCAA tournament.

The Rams will face 2017 NCAA Division III National Champion Messiah College in the opening round of the NCAA tournament.

The Falcons of Messiah are 11-time national champions. It is the College’s 30th appearance in the NCAA tourney.

The game will be played at SUNY Oneonta in NY. Game times for the opening weekend have yet to be determined.
