Senate President Karen Spilka issued the following statement after the latest hate incident in Framingham.
“There are many reasons to love Framingham, but the two I hear the most are how wonderfully diverse it is, and how great a place it is to raise a family. With the recent news of racist, anti-Semitic and homophobic comments in our community, it is clear that we are failing to live up to the ideals that make Framingham a safe and welcoming place to live. I strongly condemn these actions and stand with the local leaders who have called for a thorough and transparent investigation. The work continues to create a community where all residents are valued, regardless of race, ethnicity, religion, background, sexual orientation, ability, age or gender, and I am committed to doing that work. I hope you will join me.”
