UPDATED: MassDot Closes Natick Bridge

NATICK – The Massachusetts Department of Transportation has closed the Boden Lane Bridge.

No vehicles and no pedestrians are allowed on the bridge at this time.

Workers conducting vegetation management Wednesday night accidentally hit and damaged the bridge.

The Town of Natick said the bridge’s structural integrity was compromised.

MassDOT inspected the bridge Thursday afternoon and shut it down.

The MBTA said shuttle buses will be available to bring riders at the West Natick Commuter Rail station around the road closure

The bridge is located near the train station/Route 135.

To assist residents getting home this evening through the 9:21 pm train, the Town of Natick will be offering shuttles in the Recreation and Park vans and MWRTA buses to get residents to the other side of the bridge.

The Town will be working with our Commonwealth partners as we assess long-term solutions and will provide further information as it becomes available. We recognize that this is an inconvenience to many of our residents and thank you in advance for your patience and understanding, said the Town of Natick on social media.
